The company regains operational efficiency thanks to SPIE’s Cloud
Lamy, a subsidiary of the French Nexity Group, is a network of real estate agencies. After depending on its French parent company, Lamy decided to opt for the Cloud in order to host its data and office automation and business applications to regain operational flexibility. Lami chose the ICS division of SPIE Belgium as hosting and service provider.
Every facet of the transition to the Cloud has been handled by the ICS division of SPIE Belgium, from the needs analysis and business specific features of Lamy to support for users on a day-to-day basis (help desk) for the core of the project. SPIE made available an infrastructure in its datacentre in Belgium (dedicated Active Directory, Exchange and Citrix servers), connections (Internet, redundant broadband lines) and local solutions (PC, network, firewall). The computer population was replaced with latest generation desktops and laptops.
Result: flexibility, mobility and data centralization are a reality from now on. “The transition to the Cloud was indispensable. IT is a permanent fixture for us that has to be available for every employee from morning to night. We now have extraordinary flexibility,” says Marc Milcamps, managing director of Lamy.
