About SPIE Belgium

1968

merger with "Société de Construction des Batignolles", resulting in the new name of SPIE Batignolles. After several acquisitions, the real story of SPIE Belgium begins in 1996 with the takeover of Abay TS by SPIE Trindel.

1999

SPIE makes a strategic move by acquiring Laurent Bouillet. This company, which specialises in HVAC engineering, also took over its Air & Chaleur subsidiary and established itself in the Belgian HVAC market.

2003

the SPIE Group joins AMEC plc. On 1 July 2003, all SPIE Group companies adopt the name AMEC SPIE. In Belgium, the former Abay TS and Air & Chaleur together form AMEC SPIE Belgium. The head office is located in Brussels (Anderlecht).

2006

AMEC sells AMEC SPIE SA to PAI Partners. AMEC SPIE SA is renamed SPIE SA.

2007

SPIE Belgium acquires Anca-Tech and expands its expertise.

2011

SPIE Belgium acquires Chauffage Declercq, thereby strengthening its position in the north of the country and taking a significant step towards becoming a major player in HVAC engineering in Belgium.

2012

SPIE Belgium acquires the companies G. Van Overschelde, Vano Electro and Vanogroep, marking a new stage in its growth in a region hitherto little covered.

2013

SPIE Belgium takes over the Devis group, comprising Thermofox, Devinoxs, Deservis and Devis, thereby strengthening its position in the service sector.

2018

SPIE Belgium acquires the Systemat group to round out its ICT expertise and create its ICS division

In line with its value of responsibility, SPIE is committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. The aim: to ensure that our practices comply with applicable laws and regulations, while gaining and maintaining the long-term trust of our stakeholders.

Our rules of conduct are set out in a code of ethics and an accompanying application manual, which are distributed to all employees. These documents are available in 7 languages: French, English, German, Dutch, Polish, Hungarian and Slovak. Both internal and external stakeholders can also report any behaviour that they perceive to be contrary to ethics, in accordance with the procedure for reporting and handling reports and warnings.

Managing Director SPIE Belgium

Born in 1965, he holds a diploma in Electromechanical Engineering from the Haute Ecole Blaise Pascal.
He began his career at KONE in 1988 before joining the KONE Belgium & Luxembourg Management Committee in 2008. Pascal Lekeu was promoted to the role of Managing Director of KONE Belgium & Luxembourg in 2015 and Director New Equipment Business of KONE France in 2021. Since joining SPIE Belgium in January 2023, Pascal Lekeu has held the position of Director of the Building Services business unit before taking over as Head of the Building Solutions business unit in February 2024. In July 2024, he took over as Managing Director of SPIE Belgium.

Director Industry & Infrastructure Director

Born in 1960, he holds an electromechanical engineering degree from KIHA College in Antwerp, and a degree as prevention and safety advisor from the Antwerp University Institute.
He embarked on his career in 1986 as engineer and head of the maintenance department at BMT in Schoten. He continued his career in 1988 as manager of the assembly and safety department in the multinational Thyssenkrupp. After 4 years, he joined Intraco NV, a company active on the plastic pipes market in Belgium, as Production Manager and head of Safety. He then joined Eyke Hogendoorn B.V. in 1996 where he worked as Manager of the plastics department. In 2007 he went to work for SPIE Belgium as Business Unit Manager at Industry Grobbendonk, becoming the Manager of the Industry division of SPIE Belgium a few years later. In July 2025, he also took over as Director of the Infrastructure division.

Human Resources & Communications Director

Born in 1975, she holds a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and a DES in human resources management.
She began her career in 2002 as a psychologist and freelance consultant, before joining the Lidl Group in 2005, where she held HR Recruitment & Business Partner positions. Between 2009 and 2011, she worked as an HR Talent Manager at Rexel Belgium and an HR Business Generalist at Baxter Bio Science. It was in late 2011 that she joined the Delhaize Group, where she spent almost eight years in various HR roles, such as HR Manager supermarkets, HR Talent Acquisition Manager and HR Talent & Engagement Manager, before taking on the role of District Director. From 2019 and until her arrival at SPIE Belgium in March 2022, she was Human Resources Director at the Mestdagh Group, where she was also a member of the Executive Committee.

Claude Pannier

Administrative, Financial and IT Director

Claude holds a degree in Business Management & Accountancy from Vives University College in Bruges and has completed several advanced management courses at Antwerp Management School and INSEAD Fontainebleau.
After starting his career in the banking sector as a Commercial Account Manager at KBC, Claude Pannier joined the Belgian group DEME in 1997 as a Financial Controller. For eight years, he traveled between the United Kingdom, Asia, and South America to work on various projects for the group specializing in marine infrastructure, land reclamation, and offshore energy. In 2005, he worked for two years at the port company PSA in Antwerp as a Business Controller in the Mergers & Acquisitions department. He then returned to DEME as Senior Financial Area Controller for North and South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. He continued his career with the Group, where he held the position of Group Finance Director from 2019 to 2024 and was also a member of the audit committee. He joined SPIE Belgium in March 2025.
