Access, charging and LED lighting terminals at SHELL in Ghent

Industry West is proud of its project to equip the car park and access building at the Shell site in Ghent.

As far back as Hans Soulliaert, Site Manager at SPIE Belgium, can remember, Shell has always been a SPIE customer, even though his career began more than 30 years ago!

Shell Catalyst & Technologies Belgium, headquartered in Ghent, is one of six production sites that develops, produces and sells petrochemical, chemical and environmental catalysts.

SPIE Belgium's Industry West teams support them on a daily basis with the maintenance of their facilities. We are also consulted on various projects, such as equipping the car park and access building at Shell's site in Ghent.

For the car park equipment, SPIE undertook the following work:

• Connection of 53 LED lighting columns

• Installation of 14 charging stations for electric cars

• Installation of 10 charging stations for electric bikes

• Installation and set-up of 4 turnstiles, 4 barriers and 2 gates.

In the site access building, we took care of:

• Cabling work for fire and burglary detection

• All data cabling

• All LED lighting, inside and outside

• Complete electrical installation in the various offices, meeting rooms, canteen and changing rooms.

This is undoubtedly a project that will contribute to a better living environment and a more sustainable future!
