Creation of the e-mobility department within the Infrastructure division. Deployment of the first Tesla charging stations.

Futur – Our vision de for e-mobility

The future of electric mobility is built around four key pillars:

1. Public Transport

Electrifying buses and urban transport fleets is a priority. SPIE Belgium already supports De Lijn and TEC in transforming their depots and will continue investing in innovative solutions (pantographs, smart grids).

2. Charge Point Operators (CPO)

Charging operators are growing rapidly. Our role is to ensure their competitiveness through reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure.

3. Smart Cities

E-mobility goes beyond charging, it becomes a cornerstone of smart cities through the integration of consumption data and optimization of energy distribution across networks. SPIE Belgium is already developing solutions that connect mobility to energy grids and urban digital services.

4. TRUCKS AND LOGISTICS

The transition to electric trucks is a crucial step towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving decarbonisation targets.

Thanks to advances in battery and propulsion technology, electric trucks are now more efficient and cost-effective.
