Sustainable PURCHASES
As purchasing accounts for the largest share of SPIE's GHG emissions (around 80%), the company is committed to reducing its environmental impact by incorporating sustainability criteria into its procurement practices.
As a result, 58.8% of CO2 emissions linked to SPIE Belgium's purchasing come from suppliers committed to reducing their carbon emissions in the short term (EcoVadis certified). In terms of CSR, SPIE favours purchasing from local and responsible suppliers, particularly those that integrate people in rehabilitation or from the adapted/protected sector. Finally, circular economy initiatives are gradually being implemented within SPIE's subsidiaries.
