ZOHE – Internal IT infrastructure

PLACE Hainaut

ZOHE is delighted with the management and performance of its IT infrastructure thanks to SPIE.

Present in 22 municipalities in Hainaut, the Zone de Secours Hainaut-Est (ZOHE) [East Hainaut Relief Area], consisting of 6 relief stations, covers a total population of more than 470,000 inhabitants, or one third of the area of Hainaut Province. 591 firefighters in all, of whom 370 professionals and 56 administrative staff work for the Relief Area.

When the ZOHE became independent from the City of Charleroi, Antonio Bruno, IT Manager of ZOHE, and his team had to put a new IT infrastructure in place. “We pushed for the internal solution,” he explains. Furthermore, for the IT Manager, it was important for the provider to play fully the role of consultant and integrator for the choice and installation of the solution.

To meet the needs of ZOHE, SPIE put in place an internal network infrastructure and a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), through the StorMagic solution to obtain true redundancy. The entire project was managed by the teams of SPIE’s ICS division, in close cooperation with the client: from audit and advice on the choice of the solution in line with ZOHE’s objectives, to the purchase of hardware, its installation, configuration, stabilization by an SPIE System Engineer and assistance.

Antonio Bruno is completely satisfied with the solution and hardware which is easy to manage. On the service side, the client is particularly appreciative of the good relationship he has with his contacts at SPIE.  “The hardware works very well. In all honesty, my best experience with the implementation of an IT infrastructure is this one, with SPIE,” Antonio
